In this supplemental issue, we are privileged to present a series of insightful chapters authored by Dr. Jostein Ådna, a distinguished scholar whose interdisciplinary approach illuminates the profound connections between the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament. With a rich academic background shaped by rigorous theological studies in Oslo, Tübingen, and Jerusalem, Dr. Ådna brings a wealth of knowledge and a nuanced perspective to this intricate field of study. Currently serving as Professor of New Testament at the School of Mission and Theology in Stavanger, Norway, his contributions to biblical scholarship are both significant and highly regarded.

The chapters included in this volume are the culmination of a series of seminars led by Dr. Ådna at the Mekane Yesus Seminary in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. These seminars provided a collaborative space for theological reflection and dialogue, fostering a deeper understanding of the continuities and distinctives within the Judeo-Christian scriptures. Dr. Ådna’s meticulous analysis and engaging pedagogy have resulted in a body of work that not only advances academic discourse but also enriches the broader theological community’s comprehension of these sacred texts.

As we engage with Dr. Ådna’s scholarship, we are invited to consider the textual, historical, and theological dimensions that underpin the relationship between the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament. His work challenges readers to explore these connections with both intellectual rigor and an appreciation for the enduring legacy of these canonical writings.
